Modern Aspects in Quantum Materials and Quantum Technology
Workshop of Baltic Consortium of Theoretical Physics
Greifswald, Germany, 17.-20. November 2022
Modality: presentations in person.
This workshop combines on one hand fundamental research in Quantum Materials where pillars of modern research like topological order, quantum coherence, symmetry, correlation, emergence, and geometry play pivotal roles, and on the other hand Quantum Technology concepts that are driven by potential future application in computer industry and energy saving technology.
Topics include:
Topological materials, Majoranas, Floquet topological insulators
Correlated electron systems and superconductors
Dynamics and sensing in quantum systems and materials
Superconducting Spintronics
Superfluids, Bose Einstein Condensates
Organizers: A. Balatsky, M. Eschrig, A. Posazhennikova
Contact: balticuni-greifswaldde
This workshop is organized by the Baltic Consortium of Theoretical Physics, which is member of the Institute of Complex Adaptive Matter (ICAM/I2CAM). We acknowledge funding by ICAM/I2CAM, by Nordita Stockholm, and by Institute of Physics at University of Greifswald.
