ASDEX Upgrade

ASDEX Upgrade ist ein Tokamak in Garching bei München. An ASDEX Upgrade werden alle relevanten Fragestellungen der Fusion erforscht, die derzeit bearbeitet werden können. Wir arbeiten auf dem Gebiet des turbulenten Transports in der Plasmarandschicht mit Wissenschaftlern vom IPP zusammen. ASDEX Upgrade verfügt eine versonders hohe Plasmaheizung und kommt in Leitung pro Quadratmeter zukünfigen Fusionsexperimenten wie ITER oder DEMO von allen derzeitigen Fusionsexperimenten am nächsten. Besonder die Probleme bei der Leistungsabfuhr, dem Plasmadetachment und der Plasma-Wand-Wechselwirkung können bei ASDEX Upgrade unter möglichst fusionsrelevanten Parametern untersucht werden.
