Anna Posazhennikova studied Physics at the Ural State University in Ekaterinburg, and completed her Ph.D. at the Institute of Electrophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. After postdoctoral research at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and at University of Karlsruhe (as a Humboldt Fellow) and University of Bonn in Germany, she moved to a Senior Researcher position at University of Konstanz, Germany. In 2012 she moved to Royal Holloway, University of London, UK, as a Senior Researcher, where she joint faculty as Lecturer of Physics in 2015. Since 2019 she holds a Senior Research Associate position at University of Greifswald.
