SEAGULL

In SEAGULL (Scientific Experiment At Greifswald University for Low temperature Low pressure plasmas), we can study basic physics of non-magnetized low-temperature low-pressure plasmas. The plasma is heated by radio frequency capacitively (E-mode) or inductively (H-mode). The quiescent conditions allow the development of new diagnostics. In addition to diagnostics development, our research continues to focus on fluctuations and transport processes. Strong fluctuations only occur under certain conditions, e.g. by adding negative ions.
