Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) allows the determination of tissue concentrations and conversion rates of various metabolites in living animals and humans in a non-invasive manner and without radiation exposure. This technique is therefore used for clinical diagnostics and has established itself as an important tool in the physiological research. The group deals with development of methods for the MRS taking advantage of very high magnetic fields and with applications primarily in the areas of Psychiatric imaging and spinal cord injuries.
